Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Dana Haughton exploded into the limelight in 1994 when she released her debut Album Age Ain't nothing but A number. The singer was only 15 at the time and the album became Gold. The album was a collaboration that was highly influenced by R. Kelly and it put the singer in the limelight. She collaborated in 1996 together with Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland to release her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B vocals on this album. In 2000 she starred in the romance and action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. In 2002, she appeared part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels followed, which featured Zee playing her role. She has received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. The actress is the first Indian American to be from Connecticut. The stage name Mann is an abbreviation for her marital name Mankad. Aarti has both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as professional names. Though her first professional career was mostly dominated by small movie and TV performances, she rose to greater recognition in the latter half of 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her most notable work includes Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). The commercials she has done have been for big brands, like Volvo. She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting career.
